But it was for real. For the next week, I searched high and low for nursing from home jobs. I randomly just picked one job out of the list I complied. I knew I wasn’t going to lose anything by at least applying. Soon, I landed my first work from home nursing job. I started out with a small freelance job that lasted 3 days. I know that doesn't sound like much, but I was just getting my feet wet. Wow, I thought to myself, this is great and a week later I decided to try to apply to a few more jobs. Within a couple of weeks, I had my first steady online nursing job. I was working 15-25 hours a week, and I was able to do it from home. Now, it wasn’t a full-time job. Not yet. I wasn’t ready for that, and my family wasn't either. After about a year of doing nursing work from home, I decided to start this site in my spare time and help bring nursing jobs to other stay at home moms. I always wished there was a site like this when I started. It would of been so much easier on my family and I. I have been so thankful that I am able to balance my career without sacrificing my family, and now I want to share that with you. Start applying to our work at home job listings for nurses. Fast forward six months. I had picked up a couple of other small positions, I was working a few hours here and there doing what I loved – nursing – from home! Starting out, I was able to work as little or as much as I wanted. When my baby had to have shots, I was able to work around it without compromising my paycheck. And when my preschooler suddenly had to spend several days in the hospital – I was still able to work as a nurse, from home, in between hospital visits and my husband’s job. When my family needed me to be both mom and wage-earner – I was able to, because of the flexibility of my field and the continued ability to find new positions working from home. Take a look at the current job listings now. Perhaps the biggest test of all was when my husband got laid off during the winter months. This time actually allowed me to take a further step forward and look for even more paying work from home nursing positions. I didn’t have a choice at the time – with my husband at home, we had to have more money coming in. It only took a couple of weeks, and I was able to start adding other small positions to my caseload. By the time my husband was finally able to find a job, three months later, I was not only working full-time, I was able to choose between jobs to decide which ones to keep long-term. At the heart of this site are women just like me and you, wives and mothers who just want the best for our families and ourselves. NursingJobsFromHome.org can help you accomplish that, by providing you with job listings that are relevant to you. You can find as little or as much work as you want. And the best part is, you get to do most of your work from home, while still having a hand in the nursing field that you love so much. It was the best possible fit for me a couple of years ago when I first started and I can’t imagine doing anything else. Here are a few comments that I am so proud to share with you: Hello Shannon, I wanted to thank you for turning me onto work at home nursing! You were right! I was able to find listings that worked for me and had my first job in a week. I’m already following up on a couple of other possibilities, and I can’t believe how easy it was! I love the fact that I can provide for our small family during these tough times and still be a mommy. I can’t thank you enough for letting me know about this. It has been just what I needed to get out into the workforce again. Grateful For You, Kim Shields To your other potential users, I just wanted to send an email out because of what this site has done to help me. NursingJobsFromHome.org had a variety of job listings, I was able to pick and choose just the ones that worked for me! I only needed part-time work, but I didn’t want to work at something for minimum wage when I was trained as a nurse and knew I would love another part-time position as one. I’m currently working part-time and loving it. The extra income is going to really help us through the holiday season, and best of all, I’m not taking important time away from my kids doing a job I love! Thank you so much for the hard work that has to go into maintaining such a stellar list of openings. Shannon! For me, working from home with my nursing experience was the best decision I ever made and has afforded me more flexibility, financial freedom, and self-confidence than I never had before. Even better, because I pick the amount of work and control who I work for, I can make time for my most important position – that of being a wife and mother. I’ve worked from home for several years now, and the nursing field is as busy as ever. Maybe I am a bit biased because of my experiences, but I think it’s the easiest work I’ve done during my over ten-year nursing career. It doesn’t even cost much get started.
